Saturday, June 25: 12:30-2:30 pm: Finding Your Fusion: Intro to Eclectic Fusion

Eclectic Fusion is a dance philosophy developed by Draconis, which is designed to guide dancers who are looking to define their dance style. In a world saturated with popular styles of fusion dance, it is often times hard to pave your own way and find a movement quality that speaks to you. Combinations will be sampled from a variety of dance textures and styles, with emphasis on contrast of movements, movement classification, and methods to incorporating them into your current dance practice.
Skill level: Beginner and Intermediate.

Draconis is an androgyne, gender-bending, multi-award-winning Belly dance performer from Dallas. His constant movement and academic study of various dance forms has shaped his unique dance style and philosophy, “Eclectic Fusion.” Draconis' explosive style is heavily influenced by Africanized dance styles, with a backbone of classical Ballet and Modern, and a dash of Exotic dance. He currently teaches classes at the Dallas School of Burlesque, as well as workshops hosted nationally and internationally. Draconis has studied dance collegiately for 4 years, soon to graduate as a BFA of Dance and Choreography with an emphasis in World dance.
